The grand IMZY experiment reverted to read-only mode a week ago and it goes dark today.

Before it went read-only, I scheduled a number of posts to publish, which I've captured and re-edited slightly to make it a little clearer at a glance.

I tried to heart them all but sadly my hearts never stayed. I was one of those "colour in all the hearts" people when Imzy first started growing and it feels so strange to see the little outlines.

I read them all...

I'm wearing one of my Imzy shirts today.

I colored in all the hearts, too! (It also helped me to keep track of stuff I'd seen.)

I'm always wearing goddamn imzy shirts. Now that I'm starting a job on Monday, I should probably try wearing other clothes occasionally.

YES!! I had to essentially recreate each one as an animated gif, taking liberties with the cropping a bit. The whole site's going away so I wanted to remember what it looked like :'-)

Aw, dancing Calvin and Hobbes! And I was curious about that article on abandoned websites online. I'd have thought the hosting costs would have taken any down after a year or so.

I imagine stuff like the well-known SPACE JAM site are relics from large companies that don't need to worry about the relatively insignificant cost of continuing to host a dinky 90s-designed promo-website. They're most likely forgotten but I do wonder if there's a deeper story to some of them.

I was wondering about the hosting costs as well, considering you have to renew domains every couple of years! The space jam site is easy to explain, but who is still hosting the suicide cult's site :/

It was great to see the new posts come up. The whole idea of what you did was quite brilliant. I thought it would be too weird and sad to go back to Imzy once posting/commenting was disabled, but instead I had a tab open all week. Thank you for that.
