Rooster Teeth

Anybody on ROOSTER TEETH?

http://roosterteeth.com/

@Dan (from the IMZY!) works there now, as their community director(?).

They're listed as a "videogame company" but it seems like they've got shows. Like web-shows. TV for online people.

I confess, I think I've been left behind by this branching of pop culture. People watching other people play videogames. And most of the web-based shows, including YouTube stars. This is no country for old men.

Anyway, you've got to pay to be a member and I was tempted just because Dan was there. For old time's sake.

It's September 6, 2017 and I've still got a tab open with IMZY. That farewell letter is still up.

Got the app on my phone. It's got a crack in it I may try to replace it before the year is out -- and I may not have it on my new phone, but I can't bring myself to delete it from my current one.

There really is so much about IMZY that I miss. I've got so many good memories -- of a WEBSITE! Some of the stickers I plastered this city with are still up.

I did see that Dan is working for Rooster Teeth now - it seems like a cool position!

I've vaguely been aware of them since I followed one of their many youtube channels for a while. I didn't know they had paid membership for anything as most of their stuff just seems to be youtube content?

Yeah still missing Imzy as well, a couple of other new sites keep popping up but nothing has yet caught me up enough to get as invested as I did in Imzy, and the sites I do spend most of my time are the ones that people I want to follow use so I'm there for the people rather than because I actually like the sites.

*sigh*

I miss Imzy, too. I def don't know anything about Rooster Teeth.

I think I use youtube less than anyone else I know. I blame it on years of having crappy internet connections. All that buffering scarred me.

I've heard of Rooster Teeth, mostly in that it has a fandom.

I enjoyed your animation!

I've been aware of Rooster Teeth for a while but I am not part of their dedicated community. Seems like a good group. I wish Dan all the best there.

That's good for Dan. Roosterteeth seem like good people. I've watched a couple of their series. RWBY is a pretty cool story (and seasons 2&3 were on Crunchyroll) and iirc Red v Blue was/is on Netflix?

They hosted like the biggest E3 viewing event too? They're all over gaming and animation world online.

Yes, Imzy was so very engaging and interactive for me. It filled a void in my fannish soul. I really miss that.
