Heya Imzynauts. I'm @misbegotten on Imzy, mod of /100words, /introvert, /karlurban, /mystery, /pittsburgh_penguins, /sleepless, and /sorkinverse. I just wanted to say hullo to fellow DW users.

/100words is mirrored at 100words, if you like a weekly dose of microfiction on your reading list. I post a prompt every week, and people respond with original or fan fiction that is exactly 100 words in length.

What are you going to miss the most about Imzy, besides the people? I'm going to miss the ability to schedule posts!

The general ease of posting. Links and pics especially. And the holiday comms. And the app.

The app, yes! It was amazing that Imzy had such a beautiful app before they were out of beta, gonna miss that so bad!

Pseuds. I really loved running unrelated communities under multiple pseuds without having to log in/log out/log in/log out repeatedly.

The pseudonyms thing made me nervous, since anyone who found the right kind of security flaw in Imzy could then link your names together. Did you just use it for casual identity partitioning? I was worried people were using it for stuff that would be damaging if linked.

Yeah, I used it to post to music comms with a name I used on music mailing lists in the 1990s, fandom stuff with this name, the name of one of my characters in a writing comm, etc. A bit of googling would link them all anyway, so it was more for fun than anything. (Heck, I linked a couple on Dan's post.)

I can imagine some bad scenarios, though.

Hey, Missy! I feel like I'd just got the hang of using imzy's markup and all of that jazz and now we're back to HTML, only I hadn't used LJ for a few years so now I'm rusty on that too, lol. I'm going to miss everything about imzy tbh. Super bummed. :( I'm glad we can still keep in touch here <3
